There’s no strict dress code. Most audience members wear business casual or dressy casual attire, though you’ll also see some people in suits or evening dresses and others in more relaxed clothing.
Traditionally, audiences wait to clap until the end of a full piece, rather than between individual movements. A good rule of thumb is to watch the conductor—when they fully lower their hands and turn to face the audience, it’s time to applaud.
Parking is free in the evening in the lot across the street from the Mishler. There is also street parking available on 11th and 12th Avenues. Please do NOT park in the spots behind our office with signs designated for ASO or BCAF staff.
When is the Spiritz Lounge open?
The Spiritz Lounge is open one hour before each concert and during intermission. It is closed during the performance.
How do I get to the lounge?

Before the theater opens: Use the entrance down the steps in the fire-tower, accessible through the handicap entrance between the Mishler and the BCAF office.
After the theater opens (30 minutes before curtain): Enter through the glass doors at the main entrance to the Mishler, then go down the stairs at the back of the theatre.
Please note: There is no elevator access to the lounge.
