Melissa “Missy” Andre has been a dedicated member of the Altoona Symphony Orchestra team since 2017. She initially served as the Office Manager, where she supported the organization's daily operations and administrative functions. In early 2022, Missy transitioned into the role of Accounting Office Manager, and now serves as Finance Manager, overseeing the Symphony’s financial operations with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and long-term stability. Since joining the ASO, Missy has contributed significantly to streamlining internal processes and supporting the organization's long-term sustainability. Her behind-the-scenes work is essential to the symphony’s ability to deliver high-quality performances and community programs throughout the region.
Prior to her time at the ASO, Missy successfully ran her own home-based e-commerce business, bringing with her a strong entrepreneurial spirit and practical experience in business operations. She holds a degree in Business Administration, which underpins her analytical approach to finance and organizational management.
Outside of work, Missy enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, their six children, and one grandchild. She finds joy in gardening, traveling, and creating lasting memories with her family. Her dedication to the Altoona Symphony’s mission continues to make her an invaluable part of the organization.
